What’s the difference between incomplete and non-compliant tasks?

Modified on Tue, 22 Jul, 2025 at 6:47 PM

TL;DR: Incomplete means the task hasn’t been completed yet. Non-compliant means the task is past due and the caregiver is out of compliance.

Full Answer:

An incomplete task is one that hasn’t been completed yet, but this can include tasks that aren’t due yet. For example, if a CPR card is expiring in three months and hasn’t been renewed, the task is incomplete but the caregiver is still compliant.

A task becomes non-compliant only when it is past its due date or expired, and the caregiver has not completed it. This means the caregiver is no longer meeting the agency's compliance requirements for that task.

You can use the All Tasks report to filter for either incomplete or non-compliant tasks, depending on what you want to prioritize.
