How can I delete a global task?

Homecare Pro doesn’t allow you to fully delete global tasks, since they’re tied to your agency’s overall task configuration. Deleting them could cause things to break down the line.

But here’s what you can do:

If there’s a task you no longer want assigned to caregivers, you can remove the assigned roles from that task. 

1. Go to Agency Configuration → Tasks → Open the relevant task

2. Click Edit → Remove any Roles under “Roles”

3. This way, the task won’t be assigned to any caregivers going forward. It will not delete task assignments for existing caregivers that came from this global task. 

This is a quick workaround if you need to “retire” a task from use. If you want it permanently deleted to clean up your configuration, please reach out to us at support@homecarepro.io.
